TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account

The Broker — What It Is

Tab Trade went live in March 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under Saint Lucia's FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.

That last detail tells you something. It means the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not guarantee anything. It is better than a founder with no industry background.

TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same facilities institutional desks use. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade went the other way. Not the typical playbook.

What you can trade: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For a platform this new, that range is broad.

What You Trade On

They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from the same login. Many only give you one or the other. Getting both matters. You are not locked into one.

MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Full charting, automated trading, massive community. If you know MetaTrader previously, it is familiar territory.

cTrader is the cleaner option. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders prefer it once they try it.

FIX API is available for algo traders but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is said to be in the works. That will be a good addition when it lands.

What You Pay

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Good for beginners.

Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade has no minimum.

VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, faster fills, tailored rates. Not something most retail traders. Do not worry about it unless you trade institutionally.

How Fast Are the Fills

This is the thing TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. The average platform operate at hundreds of milliseconds.

Should you care? For short-term trading, it does. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you trade higher timeframes, you will not notice. The point is the infrastructure is there. That signals what kind of broker this is.

Put together that execution speed with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the total package makes sense. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit offer execution like this.

Safety

Now, the part that matters. TabTrade is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, this broker is not for you. Lots of FCA-regulated options out there.

That said. The person running it spent years at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The execution setup costs real money. Dodgy operations do not invest in Equinix connectivity. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does factor into your decision.

What you are accepting: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal is worth it is your call.

The Bonus

Tab Trade runs a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Usual welcome offer. You deposit, the broker credit extra capital. The normal fine print: turnover conditions before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Check the terms before funding.
